The clean-up took place in conjunction with local NGOs, Let’s Do It Mozambique and Repensar, as well as volunteers from Comserv and Coca-Cola and other community members, which took place next to the Frango e Magumba Market in front of the speedway where the beach was littered.
The team of 264 volunteers met on Saturday 11 June 2022, and worked tirelessly from 7 am to 11 am, at which time they collected 1731 glass bottles, 1356 water bottles, 1022 masks, 30 bags of clothing and 194 bags of miscellaneous items.
Caring is ingrained in Tsebo’s company culture as one of the group’s core values. Tsebo employees live this value through their active care for the environment and the communities they work and live in.
This clean-up was part of the build-up to World Cleanup Day, an international day involving volunteers from more than 180 countries, where Tsebo employees will once again mobilise in the care of our planet and sustainable business practices.
