Watch: Tsebo empowering and supporting women during Women’s Month 2020

To end off women’s month, we would like to share this amazing initiative: Watch how our team in KwaZulu-Natal (SA) supported the livelihoods of vulnerable women in collaboration with the Woza Moya economic empowerment project, in the midst of a pandemic.

Tsebo commissioned 10 women to create over 500 bracelets for woman’s month 2020. The beaded bracelets were then donated to woman in private hospitals which Tsebo serves in the region. Each female received two bracelets – one to wear and one to pay forward to another woman.

Woza Moya “come winds of change” is HACT’s award-winning project that uplifts, empowers and inspires local people impacted by HIV/AIDS by providing training and support to local artists and crafters – an empowerment project that is closely aligned with Tsebo’s own purpose statement of WE DEVELOP PEOPLE, TO SERVE PEOPLE, TO UPLIFT SOCIETY.

Over 95% of the Woza Moya project beneficiaries are currently women, many of whom are the breadwinners in their families.
