Tsebo has always held that empowerment is not a compliance requirement. It is part of our DNA and is weaved into our business model, business processes, cultural values and business strategy.
We implemented our first affirmative action programme in the early 80s and later, in 1995, we won the Black Management Forum’s Most Progressive Company Award. In 1996 we concluded our first BEE transactions. In 2000, the Group was delisted form Johannesburg Securities Exchange to pursue a shareholder model with empowerment partners. We were the first organisation of our size to achieve ‘excellent’ BEE accreditation through Empowerdex. Today, we are among the highest rated large employers on the South African DTI’s generic BEE scorecard.
We encourage all our clients, suppliers and stakeholders to engage with us to create and sustain transformation success.
