Tsebo’s support for the TEARS Foundation showcased on SABC 1

Royce Van Der Zwan, Group Marketing Director of Tsebo Solutions Group was interviewed on TOMz to talk about its support of the TEARS Foundation, a registered NPO that uses technology innovatively in the fight against domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. The interview aired on Thursday, the 23rd of August on SABC 1.

Tsebo, the leading provider of facilities management solutions across Africa and the Middle East has actively been supporting the TEARS Foundation for the past five years. “The need to find the right balance between our corporate goals and supporting community growth has been an area we have placed great focus on and we believe that our partnership with the TEARS Foundation is testament to that,” explains Royce.

The TEARS Foundation, founded in 2012, is a registered Non-profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). The Foundation is responsible for the sourcing and collating of a data-base comprised of a fully comprehensive network of medical, medico-legal, legal and psychological services for the assistance and support of survivors of abuse.

Since 2013, Tsebo Solutions Group has assisted TEARS by providing the foundation with access to office space. “After Tsebo offered to host us free of charge in their offices, we were able to develop the only database of its kind in South Africa that consist of   3500+services providers of care and counselling to victims of gender-based violence,” explains Mara Glennie, Founder and Director of TEARS.

“NGO’s are not supported enough in South Africa. A well thought through, comprehensive, innovative and creative CSI programme can become a competitive differentiator for a business, as is proof with our support of TEARS. We believe that a focused and impactful CSI programme is no longer a nice-to-have, but that it is a critical component of a best generic tramadol online business’s success. We encourage more corporates in South Africa to offer their support to NGO’s in their communities to support and uplift those in need,” says Royce.

“The TEARS Foundation is a critical partner in our journey to making an impactful difference in the lives of others and we are honoured to be able to support them in line with our values that support gender-based causes,” concludes Royce.
