Saturday 18 February marked the start of the 2012 season for the Porsche Club Challenge, which turned out to be one of the most exciting events that the series has seen in a long time. The Porsche Club Challenge joined forces with the Alfa Trofeo series, which resulted in a 33 car strong field. Close, exciting racing was inevitable from the start and there was certainly no disappointment.
Heat 1 saw Hennie de Klerk (Treasury One 924) take an impressive win after carving his way through the field to victory followed closely by Mark Harvey “Wallbanger” (Adapt Communications 924) and Marius Prinsloo (Flora Motors 924). Top-runner Marius Wait (Physique Science 924) had an unusual early retirement caused but fuel injector problems. The Alfas’ were fierce competition, resulting in mirror-to-mirror racing with up to 4 cars fighting for the same position in some corners. The Alfa class was won by Rohan Jarvis (Centlube Racing Alfa Junior) followed by Mark Klinkert and Gino Allasio.
I read it on the site https://www.instituteofhomestaging.com/free-accutane/ that it is recommended to monitor liver function and liver enzymes before treatment, 1 month after it begins, and then every 3 months or as indicated. There was a transient and reversible increase in liver transaminases, in most cases within normal values. If the level of liver transaminases exceeds the norm, it is necessary to reduce the dose of the drug or cancel it.
Heat 2 was action-packed to say the least as the drivers had come to grips with the combined driving styles of the two classes. From lap 1 the racing was tight. Lap 5 saw Mark Ellis, Jacqui Harvey and two of the Alfas fighting for position in the hairpin with Jacqui Harvey losing out ending her chances of a good finish. Hennie de Klerk and Melt Malan had a coming together resulting in a puncture for Malan causing his early retirement from the race. On the final lap, Mark Harvey lost control on the approach to Turn 5 and crashed into an unfortunate Rohan Jarvis (Alfa Junior) putting an instant end to both of their races. Marius Prinsloo (Flora Motors 924) took a well deserved win and overall win for the day with Roy Obery (GWM) taking second place in heat 2. Miguel Ribeiro took a second win for the day in the Alfa Series with Gary Wade 2nd and Jan Jacobs 3rd.
The drivers and fans of Porsche Club Challenge would like to thank Tsebo Outsourcing Group (www.tsebo.com) for their valuable support and sponsorship of the Zwartkops event.
