SABPP EEDT awards Tsebo with two first place wins

Tsebo is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where our employees can develop and grow to their full potential. We are therefore humbled to be recognised for our efforts at the recent SA Board for People Practices Awards, where we were the overall winner in two categories:

  1. The HR Best Enabling Environment Award, which recognises the company’s environment as enabling for the advancement of persons from designated groups and its contribution to transformation.
  2. The Barriers Analysis and Affirmative Action Measures Award, which recognises the company’s approach in conducting its Barrier Analysis, development of Affirmative Action Measures and the implementation of its Affirmative Action Measures.

The Annual SABPP EEDT (SA Board for People Practices Employment Equity, Diversity and Transformation) Awards is a platform through which South African organisations are publicly recognised for excelling in Employment Equity, Diversity and Transformation. The awards also strive to set the benchmark in moving organisational initiatives beyond compliance, towards innovation, excellence and a continuous reinvention in their respective fields. These awards therefore also recognise the efforts of our HR colleagues in setting the tone for good people practices and employee engagement, and championing digitised platforms to enhance the employee experience.

Elanie Kruger, Group OE Director, says “It is our belief that every progressive choice we make will contribute to creating a brighter future for all and as such, we share a collective purpose to uplift our people, clients, communities and society.”

Our transformation journey started decades ago with the launch of our first Affirmative Action program in 1983, and Tsebo being awarded the Black Management Forum’s Most Progressive Company award in 1995.

We believe that transformation is crucial in ensuring sustainable development in our country, our continent and indeed in the world, and we will continue on our quest to develop people, to serve people, to uplift society.
